Rizultpay powered by Worldpay - Get Started
Here is a quick guide to help you get up and running with the 'Worldpay payment gateway'
How to integrate a payment gateway into your website
Learn about payment gateways, how they function and how they can be integrated into
e-commerce websites.

What are payment gateways?
Payment gateways are the online equivalent of physical card readers at checkout. They securely authorize and process electronic payments for e-commerce businesses, supporting various methods like credit cards, digital wallets, and bank transfers. In addition to secure transactions, they streamline checkout, boost customer trust, and increase conversion rates.
How does a payment gateway work?
Payment gateways ensure fast, secure online checkouts through these key steps:
- Checkout: Customers enter payment details on a secure, hosted payment page managed by the gateway.
- Encryption & Transmission: The gateway encrypts sensitive data and sends it to the payment processor.
- Processing: The processor verifies the info with the customer’s bank or card issuer.
- Authorization: The bank/card issuer approves or declines the transaction, relaying the result back to the site.
- Response & Update: The gateway notifies your store of the result; approved payments trigger order fulfillment.
- Settlement: Funds are transferred from the customer’s bank to your merchant account.
Types of payment gateways
There are two main types of payment gateways: integrated and hosted, each with unique benefits.
Integrated gateways process payments directly on your site using APIs, offering faster checkouts but requiring strong security measures.
Hosted gateways redirect users to a third-party platform to complete payments. Though slightly slower, they’re easier to set up and maintain.

If you don't have a sales representative, please fill in the Merchant Application Form below.
2. Set up Your Worldpay Dashboard account
In the meantime, you will receive emails outlining how to log in to Worldpay Dashboard. You will need to access Worldpay Dashboard to set up other items such as mobile wallets.
3. Try your integration
Through Worldpay Dashboard you can use Try Mode to simulate Virtual Terminal and Pay By Link transactions. You can also generate Try API credentials to test the integration with your website.
You can also create additional Dashboard users for your developers or Virtual Terminal users.
4. Complete your website integration
You will need to connect your website to our Worldpay eCommerce solution. Access the Developer Documentation (or via Worldpay Dashboard) and plugin guide to guide you through the technical steps. Please share this guide with the web developers that are helping you complete your integration.
Check that your website is compliant with our guidelines. You can find a list of compliance rules in the Customer Operating Instructions.
